This thesis examines the Space Economy as a burgeoning field of study, focusing on its role as a catalyst for innovation. As an emergent multi-billion-dollar industry driven by space exploration and commercialization, the Space Economy not only advances technologies but also offers substantial economic and social benefits. Throughout the research, I delve into three main areas: Business Model Innovation (BMI) in response to industry lifecycle transitions, the paradox of failure as a catalyst for disruptive innovations, and strategic approaches for market entry into the Space Economy by terrestrial industries. This comprehensive study contributes to a nuanced understanding of the Space Economy, proposing that it requires new theoretical frameworks for innovation management to fully realize its potential. Through the thesis, I identify the necessity for tailored managerial theories to navigate and leverage the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the Space Economy, making a significant contribution to both academic research and industry practice.

Abstract
Through the thesis, I identify the necessity for tailored managerial theories to navigate and leverage the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the Space Economy, making a significant contribution to both academic research and industry practice.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
