The significance of accurate mapping cannot be underestimated in transport analysis, particularly in the integration of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and smart infrastructure assets. Accurate mapping not only enables the visualization of smart data but also facilitates real-time monitoring, analysis, and optimization of transport operations. Mapping accuracy extends to crucial elements like Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), communication technology in CCAM and assets such as traffic signals and road sensors in smart infrastructure. The precision in mapping is fundamental for the effective implementation of CCAM, allowing for optimal performance and functionality. Open-source GIS environments emerge as cost-effective and scalable solutions for managing and analysing such data, positioning themselves as valuable tools for transportation agencies and organizations. Building upon this foundation, the objectives of this study are as follows: to provide an overview of mapping techniques using Open Source environments in the transport sector; to conduct a critical review of case studies from literature, focusing on successful implementations. The final aim is to provide a concise yet comprehensive understanding of contemporary mapping practices in the context of CCAM and Smart Infrastructure

Abstract
The final aim is to provide a concise yet comprehensive understanding of contemporary mapping practices in the context of CCAM and Smart InfrastructureI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
