This paper describes a very useful, cost-effective and easy-to-use device, using wireless transmission technologies to perform indoor and outdoor remote patient control, which improves patients' safety, disease prevention and quality of life. The device performs the task of acquisition, real-time processing and transmission of High-Resolution Electrocardiogram (HRECG) signals, allowing the detection of the Ventricular Late Potentials (VLP) and thus preventing cardiac fibrillations. The device allows immediate rescue of patient and transmission of other health status parameters, such as the blood glucose concentration and the arterial pressure value, being able to connect to the appropriate sensors by the plug-and-play approach.
