The new polymerizable complex Ru(PPh3)2(AAEMA)2 was obtained by reaction of RuCl2(PPh3)3 with the anion of 2-(acetoacetoxy)ethylmethacrylate (AAEMA-). The complex was characterized by NMR, IR, UV-Vis, mass spectrometry and cyclic voltammetry techniques. In order to obtain a supported metal complex suitable for catalytic applications, Ru(PPh3)2(AAEMA)2 was copolymerized with N, N-dimethylacrylamide as comonomer and N, N′-methylenebisacrylamide as cross-linker. The obtained insoluble resin [Ru-pol] was characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-Vis and CP/MAS 31P(1H) NMR techniques.
